SaaS North was a conference put on by L-Spark in Ottawa to highlight the growing ecosystem of software as a service in Canada. The event shone a spotlight on many of the new, Canadian startups who focus on building and offering cloud-based solutions.
With Sir Terry Matthews opening the conference to emphasize the importance of timing, he highlighted the fact that businesses all over the world are considering using cloud-driven platforms more than ever before to advance business processes.
Multiple content tracks were offered, featuring a range of topics and speakers for the 700+ attendees present. Areas of focus were:
- platform building
- marketing & branding
- machine learning
- connected living
- best practices from successful SaaS companies
& many more!
The Wavefront team was on the ground to connect with attendees, and spread the word about the recent relaunch of the Wavefront Wireless Zone device library with our local partner, Invest Ottawa. This national library includes over 1000 devices and can be found at various partner locations across Canada – check out our locations and equipment inventory online to identify what resources and tools may be in your area.
Several startups at the event had used Wavefront services in the past, so it was great to connect with familiar faces and meet several new ones interested in SaaS and Mobility/IoT. Thanks to everyone who came by the booth to say hi! It was also great to see many attendees and exhibitors active on social media and connecting with us using the #AskWavefront tag, reaching out with questions or comments about the solutions Wavefront provides.
Wavefront had the opportunity to do a couple of short interviews with companies at the event, and were glad to connect with many new and exciting Canadian SaaS pioneers.
