The Wavefront Wireless Summits consisted of two parallel programming tracks covering the most important topics impacting business technology decisions today. The M2M Summit and the Wireless Business track included 2.5 days of sessions from the industry’s leaders.
Machine-to-Machine technologies, as a core component of the Internet of Things, are driving a new wave of business transformation. They bring together people, process, data and things to generate big data and new capabilities.
Wireless Business Summit
This track focuses on strategic business transformation enabled by wireless & mobility solutions. The convergence of mobile, social, data, and cloud is creating unprecedented opportunities. Wavefront welcomed a line up of industry leaders tackling topics critical to business technology decisions today and into the future.
The Summits were very well attended with a larger list of sponsors and speakers than previous years.
Start-ups selected to present in the Innovation Showcase included some of Canada’s top emerging wireless companies. Presentations were impressive and well received by the audience:
Gord Duncan, CEO from Whitehorse, Yukon, presented for TEO Lock in the live pitch event. TEO Lock won, being chosen as the wireless tech “product or solution most likely to succeed”. The device is a regular padlock enabled with Bluetooth technology, which allows users to lock and unlock it using an app downloaded to their phone.
