By February 7th its just a memory. But, from February 4th through 6th Wavefront’s Wireless Summit will certainly be making some memories. The event is featuring three days of conversation about the future of wireless, mobility, and machine-to-machine technology.
Insightful and inspiring keynote addresses are always good food for thought. Schmoozing over beverages, glad handing, and swapping business cards is standard fare too. The real value from this three day summit will be found in partnerships forged, and deals getting done.
Cutting through the talk, and getting right to the chase, Wavefront is delivering a formal B2B Meeting opportunity for growing Canadian wireless and mobility companies. These companies gain access to tangible business with potential major global organizations. Being able to pitch decision makers from 20 international global brands including, Ericsson, Oracle, Deutsche Telecom, Telefonica, Cisco, HP, Sierra Wireless and Rogers among many others, business can happen.
These global partners are committed to this process, seeing this summit as an ideal platform to connect with our increasingly renowned Canadian technology innovation. One of this year B2B meeting participants Pierre-Alexandre Fournier, CEO Hexoskin shares, “without this kind of event within the industry, it can take months to get in touch with the right decision maker. This year we hope that the B2B Meetings will provide us with the opportunity to begin conversations around a mobile health partnership with a large telecommunication player.”
James Maynard, President & CEO Wavefront, adds that “Wavefront is committed to bringing the industry together in order to facilitate Canadian wireless companies with critical resources, partners and opportunities to accelerate their growth and commercialization. The B2B Meetings enable entrepreneurs and SMEs the opportunity to accelerate their business through strategic partnerships. Just one successful meeting can provide an SME the acceleration it needs to enter new markets and begin to achieve new levels of growth.
Over 100 Canadian entrepreneurs and small businesses have already applied to participate in the B2B Meetings.Since 2012, Wavefront has facilitated over 100 meetings with 50 multi-national global leaders through the Summits, which have resulted in partnerships and signed business. As Maynard says “”the multi-national enterprises traveling to take part in the B2B Meetings are actively seeking innovative technology and solutions. This is testament to the creative, agile companies that Wavefront and our partners in the Canadian ICT sector continue to support.”
There’s a lot at stake for Canadian business, according to Ovum Consulting the wireless industry contributes more than $41 billion to Canada’s economy. As well, Cisco forecast that by 2020, there will be more than 50 billion connected devices globally.
