Richard is a business development and marketing professional with over 25 years experience in emerging and high-growth technology companies. Prior to Wavefront, he was a founding executive and Vice President, Sales and Marketing at NewspaperDirect, Inc., the world leader in digital multi-platform newspaper and magazine content distribution. He helped build a global network that enabled over 2,500 of the world’s leading publishers to distribute their content to consumers and business – in print, web, and on mobile devices. He negotiated global distribution and supply agreements with Fortune 1000 enterprises in the hospitality, publishing, office equipment and telecom industries, and developed innovative content licensing and recurring revenue business models.
Prior to NewspaperDirect, Richard launched e-commerce networks to Asian financial institutions and telecom providers, sold global satellite messaging solutions to the commercial shipping industry, and played a pivotal role in the rapid growth of Canada’s leading payment terminal innovator. Richard holds a MBA from the Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario, London ON), and a BComm from the Alberta School of Business (University of Alberta, Edmonton AB).
