VANCOUVER, CANADA – Bernard Lord, President and CEO of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA), the authority on wireless issues, developments and trends in Canada, announced today that James Maynard, President and CEO of Wavefront, Canada’s centre of excellence for wireless commercialization, has been elected as Chair of the CWTA Trade Member Council. The CWTA Trade Member Council provides a stronger voice for the Association’s small and mid-tier Trade Members and a forum for members to discuss areas of interest such as: domestic and international trade opportunities; market intelligence; promoting the wireless industry in Canada and abroad; government relations; and regulatory issues.
Mr. Maynard will also be nominated to represent Trade Members on the CWTA Board of Directors. His nomination as Trade Member Representative on the Board for a two-year term will be included on the slate of Directors to be voted on by Members at the CWTA Annual General Meeting in Toronto on January 24, 2012.
