Hosted by Wavefront, Canada’s Centre of Excellence for Wireless Commercialization and Research, the internationally renowned Summits focus on strategic business transformation enabled by wireless & mobility solutions. Keynote speakers and attendees from Rogers, Cisco Canada, Oracle, HP, Deutsche Telekom, SAP, Boeing, VISA and Gigaom will be among those present at this year’s highly anticipated event.
An impressive line up of industry leaders will speak at the 2014 Wavefront Summit – tackling topics critical to business technology decisions today and into the future. The conference is divided into two content tracks; Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Summit and Wireless Business Summit. The nexus point of these core topics is “The Internet of Things” and the convergence of mobile, social, data, and cloud that create truly transformative business opportunity. Participants can personalize their agenda and attend sessions from either track.
The M2M Summit will examine the business impact of Machine-to-Machine technologies. M2M brings together people, process, data and things to generate big data and new capabilities that are ultimately transforming some of Canada’s core industries. Speakers in the M2M Summit will include Mansell Nelson, VP Advanced Business Solutions at Rogers, Peter Utzschneider, VP of Product Management at Oracle, Markus Breitbach, Head of Strategic Sales at Deutsche-Telekom and David Kasik, Senior Technical Fellow at Boeing.
The Wireless Business Summit will expose opportunity for business leaders to harness wireless technologies to engage with customers and employees and drive productivity. This portion of the Summits will provide insight into the changing landscape of payments, security and customer and employee experience through the application of wireless technology. Speakers will include Derek Colfer, Head of Mobile Innovation at VISA, Jesse Moore, Managing Director of M-KOPA and Anthony Reynolds, Senior Vice President of SAP.
The wireless industry contributes more than $41 billion to Canada’s economy and it is forecasted that by 2020, there will be more than 50 billion connected devices. There has never been a more important time for business leaders to apply wireless technology solutions to business needs.
